The location of the residence is in a beautiful suburb of Athens, Papagou. Above all, the renovation deals with the redesign of this two-story house , aims to designate a new identity to the building for its new inhabitants. As a matter of fact, the renovation challenge was to highlight the authentic and original character of the building. Furthermore, a crucial factor was to modernize the building to the present-day requirements and the needs of its new owners. On the other hand, the interior redesign reflects a theatrical atmosphere, resulting from the organization in multiple levels. Nonetheless, the feeling of openness and penetrability between indoor and outdoor areas is noticeable, thanks to the generous openings. Moreover, “soft” geometries in wood and “hard” in masonry clarify the hierarchy of the building volumes and functions.
